MASQUERADE
Concert-Recital at the Yuchengco Museum
The Masquerade concert-recital, held at the Yuchengco Museum’s Y Space, was a memorable evening that showcased the incredible talent of 23 young classical musicians. The event featured a diverse mix of classical and contemporary works, demonstrating the performers’ technical skill and versatility.
From intricate solo pieces to dynamic group performances, the concert celebrated youth, passion, and musical excellence. The musicians were accompanied by renowned pianist Prof. Mary Anne Espina, adding depth and richness to the program. The audience responded warmly, applauding the dedication and artistry of the young performers.
In addition to the musical performances, the event featured an exhibit of Wacom digital products, showcasing digital artwork by Iana Cadhit. Born with CHARGE syndrome, a rare condition affecting multiple organs, Iana has faced significant challenges but continues to inspire with her remarkable strength, determination, and creativity. At 18 years old, Iana, who is legally blind and deaf, uses a cochlear implant to navigate the world. Despite these obstacles, she is an avid reader, writer, and artist.
Iana’s artwork, inspired by her love for anime and animals—including wolves, horses, llamas, and zebras—was displayed on digital platforms, offering a glimpse into her vibrant imagination and boundless curiosity. Her journey, marked by resilience and creativity, was an inspiring part of the evening, reminding everyone of the power of art and the human spirit.
Masquerade was a night of artistic celebration, successfully providing a platform for young musicians and artists to showcase their talent and potential.

MGA ARYA’T KUNDIMAN
Mga Arya’t Kundiman: An Evening of Music Bridging Communities
Experience a unique evening of music on September 7, 2024, at 5:30 PM at the Y Space, Yuchengco Museum. Mga Arya’t Kundiman features a blend of classic arias and beloved kundimans, performed by ARSM sopranos Isabela Samson Madero, Evangeline ng Lao, Sherine Ann Escolar Koa, and ARSM vocalist Lance Keifer Sy Lato. Special guest pianist Sharlene Morta, a MED-EL cochlear implantee, will also perform.
This event supports Hearlife-Verein’s professional development program, helping individuals in the deaf community. Join us for an evening of beautiful music and meaningful impact.

GRATEFUL, Blessed @ 58
On June 23, 2024, the Yuchengco Museum hosted “Grateful, Blessed @ 58,” an inspiring event celebrating life through Jazz and contemporary music. The evening featured exceptional performances by soprano Angela Cortez, Dr. Nik Lombos, pianist Rafael del Rosario, and guitarist Monching Carpio.
The concert supported Hearlife-Verein’s mission to provide cochlear implants and aid to children in need, as well as the construction of the Church of the Bambinella in Guimaras. This event was not only a musical celebration but also a testament to community spirit and generosity, leaving a meaningful impact on all who attended.

Harmonies of the Heart: Isabela Samson Madero
“Harmonies of the Heart,” a charity concert celebrating ARSM soprano Isabela Samson Madero. Isabela has joined the Vienna Opera Academy as an understudy, and the concert showcased her journey and achievements.
A graduate of De La Salle College of St. Benilde with a BA in Multimedia Arts, Isabela began voice lessons at age 8 with Ms. Perpy Lopez-Heath. She earned her ARSM with top honors and won several awards, including Most Outstanding Senior Classical Voice Performer at the KPU International Music Festival in 2021.
Having performed at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and participated in masterclasses with Lisette Oropesa, Isabela’s talent is undeniable.
